Skating

skating" can be broken into three categories: roller skating, inline skating, and ice skating. 

Roller Skating

Roller skating involves gliding over a smooth surface on roller skates, which are specially designed boots with two wheels at the front and two at the heel.  Roller skating can be enjoyed outdoors or at indoor roller rinks.

Inline Skating

Inline skating is a popular recreational activity where the skater glides on lightweight boots with three to five wheels attached in a line.These skates were comprised of a metal frame, urethane wheels, and a heel brake.  Olsen later founded Rollerblade, Inc., producing in-line skates for general recreation.

• Ice Skating

In the sport of ice skating, skaters glide across ice on ice skates; special boots attached to steel runners.  Ice skating may be performed in indoor or outdoor rinks, and on frozen lakes, ponds, rivers, or streams.  The sport is most prevalent in countries with long, cold winters, although the indoor rinks have made ice skating popular in warmer areas as well.

 Hockey is a game in which two parties of players, armed with sticks curved or hooked at the end, attempt to drive any small object (as a ball or a bit of wood) toward opposite goals.The stick used by the players to move a ball .for example in football we use our foot to move the ball in our opponent area.like that in hockey two opposing teams use curved sticks to drive a ball into the opponents' net.

Baseball

baseball has long been known as "America's favorite pastime." this is a game of ball, so called from the bases or bounds (four in number) which designate the circuit which each player must endeavor to make after striking the ball.It is also known as a ball game played with a bat and ball between two teams of 9 players; teams take turns at bat trying to score run.A regulation game of baseball is played nine to a side, with each team consisting of a pitcher, a catcher, first, second, and third basemen, shortstop, and right, center and left fielders.as we know that we can't play the game with out knowing the rules so some rules for playing baseball are as follows
1.Baseball is a game between two teams of nine players each, under direction of a manager, played on an enclosed field in accordance with these rules, under jurisdiction of one or more umpires.
2.The objective of each team is to win by scoring more runs than the opponent.etc 
                                     

Basketball

A BASKETBALL is a game played on a court by two opposing teams of 5 players; points are scored by throwing the basketball through an elevated horizontal hoop.A ball game, usually played indoors in an area called the basketball court, in which two opposing teams of five players each contest with each other to toss a large inflated ball (the basketball) into opposite goals (baskets) resembling baskets, each typically a cylindrical mesh suspended from a circular rim which is held ten feet above the court. A goal scored by passing the basketball through the basket may count from one to three points, depending on the situation in which it was thrown.Basketball is a popular sport worldwide, played in professional leagues, school teams, recreational leagues, and on courts and driveways all over America.some famous teams of America is lakers.Each basketball team consists of five players, and up to five substitutes are allowed.

bowling

BOWLING  is a game in which balls are rolled at an object or group of objects with the aim of knocking them over.Bowling, also known as "tenpins," is one of the world's most popular recreational games.  Players roll a heavy ball along a lane in an attempt to knock down ten pins.  It is considered both an individual and a team sport, and many bowlers play on amuture bowling or professional bowling leaguesBowlers must use a special ball and shoes.  Most bowling centers will rent these to players, but league bowlers may wish to purchase their own.A bowling game consists of ten frames.  During a frame, each bowler tries to knock down all ten pins by rolling twice.  If the first roll knocks down all ten pins, this is known as a strike, and is worth ten points.  The bowler then gets to roll twice more..

soccer

A SOCCER is  a football game in which two teams of 11 players try to kick or head a ball into the opponents' goal.a soccer is also known as football world widely.A soccer isan 11-a-side game where the object is to score the most goals.It is the world's most popular sport, played in roughly 200 countries.there are may legends of soccer like pale of Brazil ,Madonna of Argentina etc.FIFA is the one who govern the soccer worldwide and make the rules and regulation for soccer.world cup is the most famous soccer tournament in the world.

The four main positions are goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, and attacker.  Three or four defenders, known as fullbacks, are the last line of defense before the goal.  Midfield is comprised of three or four halfbacks, which must defend the goal and be on the offensive.  Attacking positions are called forwards, and teams usually employ two, three or four forward players.

volleyball

Volleyball is a popular sport that is played professionally, as well as in recreational leagues, on school teams, in backyards, sandlots, or beaches.  The game of volleyball can be enjoyed virtually anywhere a net can be set up, including over a swimming pool.  A typical volleyball game uses six players on each side.  The aim is to deliver the ball over the net and "ground" it (have it touch the ground) on the opposing side while preventing the ball from touching the ground on their side.in this game Points can only be scored by the serving team, and the first team to reach 15 points wins the set as long as they have a lead of two points.  If the lead is less than two points, the play continues until a 2 point lead is established.  A match is decided by the best of three or five sets, as determined prior to the game, although national and international league games must be played to the best of five sets.

Cycling

cycling involves riding a bicycle for recreation or competition.  Competitive cycling variations include road, mountain, and BMX.  Road races are the most popular form of cycling competition, and there are several forms of road racing, including stage races, one-day events, time trials, and criticisms.some famous cycling tournament race are USA cycling,tour DA France, paris-roubaix etc.we can also find may types of racing bicycler which are lighter in weight and different then our day to day use normal bicycle.

tennis

Tennis is a game playedon a court with a racket and a ball.  It can be played by two (as in singles) or four (as in doubles) indoors or outdoors.  Courts are divided by a net and marked with two sets of lines, one for singles and one for doubles play. it is the game in which a ball is driven to and fro, or kept in motion by striking it with a racket or with the open hand.Each point of a tennis game begins with a serve.  The player serving the ball is the server and the one receiving the ball is the receiver.  The server tosses the ball into the air and strikes it with the racket before it touches the ground, aiming to hit the ball into the opponent's area to begin the volley.  The server usually uses an overhand motion to strike the ball from behind the base line
